Die another day

And the verdict is: better than The World is Not Enough, although that's not such an impressive feat. It has nothing on GoldenEye, though.

I'll be away until Sunday night. Felice graziedando!

Crunch like nuts in the mouths of squirrels

So last night, for Jason's birthday, we all went to Chef Karim's for Moroccan food. Who knew they had food in Morocco! Or insanely good food at that, even if one of the courses was chicken with cinnamon and powdered sugar. Weirdtastic. Other dishes included Unidentifiable Salad, and evil honey-mint hybrid tea, chicken kebabs, cookies that were approximately six million percent honey, and the Best Bread Ever. A belly dancer was also present. And there was the guy with the gold shirt, of course, but he was dumb. The entire meal cost $7,410,582.32 after tax.

We returned to the apartment and Jason was presented with, among other things, a fist. So we took it to Denny's.

Tonight Morgan, Carly and I (Jason was stranded in Paperland) went to the home of Professore Antonio Artese for Cuciniamo!, a cooking get-together presented by UCSB's Italian Club. Our entry was an eggplant parmesan recipe discovered by Carly. Other recipes included pasta bolognese, gnocchi al pesto, and lasagna graziedando. (*3-hit pretentious italics combo*) They were all excellent, but our own recipe ended up being the judges' favorite. So, we all get breakfast at a local Italian place. Hoo-wa.

Now I have about 40 hours of kitchen cleaning and work to do.

Gotta knock a little harder

I estimate that my fast food consumption has dropped at least 1500% since starting college last year. I went to Wendy's today and it had been so long since I ordered a fast food burger I forgot to tell them not to put pickles on it. That's a pretty basic request. I mean, it's not a big deal if you don't get ketchup with your fries or whatnot, but you definitely don't want there to be any pickles interfering with the rest of the burger.

I thought it would never happen, but I have confirmed the existence of an Xbox exclusive game that I would like to play. Luckily, though, I am still not tempted to buy an Xbox at all, because that one game just happens to be Steel Battalion. Not until Secret of VagrantCraft Tactics Auto vs. SNK II Turbo will a game be worth $200.

We're just leaning on the breeze

So it turns out Spirited Away is actually really good. I went and saw it last weekend. Still, there's no way it can be better than HALF PAST DEAD!!!!!!!! oh man

But Spirited Away, yes. It's much better than Princess Mononoke, I think. I'm not totally sure why, but I have a theory: the monsters. Or spirits, whichever. All the crazy spirit characters and little mystical touches made it a lot of fun to watch. It thankfully did not have an Psycho Japanese Ending, either. (See also: Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.)

blah blah bla blbhalbbbl dnL

I ran out of review. Go see movie. Also Pulp Fiction is good.

Forever and ever I'm eating your liver

So dnL is supposed to be out today but I couldn't find it anywhere. The search continues tomorrow! Or this weekend. Tomorrow is All You Can Eat X-Files night.

About the X-Files. A couple weeks ago I found out the Sci-Fi channel shows four consecutive hours of X-Files on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I have been watching a lot of that, which is horrible. But it's the X-Files. They're earlier X-Files, too, so I can't complain. But it's so much TV.

I mailed my absentee ballot today and the post office said they can't guarantee delivery by the election deadline, which is pretty dumb because I just received my ballot on Saturday.

I forgot to buy kazoos.

I'll kill you

STOP SHOWING CHRISTMAS COMMERCIALS IT IS NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vice City is fun.
