Initial thoughts on The King of Fighters 2001:

• Annoyingly, the music isn't that bad when it's during the game. As a standalone soundtrack it's terrible, but during the game it's not bad at all. (I probably just destroyed my musical credibility.)
• Eolith made some weird little changes to Vanessa and Iori's hair. They only changed it for their standing animations (and Vanessa's intro), though, so when you start walking their hair changes color slightly and it looks weird. How lazy of them.
• K9999 does not appear to be a good character.
• Kyo sounds weird.
