Katamari Damacy

You may remember me previously mentioning Katamari Damacy (roughly, "soul of a clump"), a Japanese PlayStation 2 game in which you roll around a giant clump that grows in size as more and more objects stick to it. I don't remember exactly how, but yesterday I stumbled across its official Japanese Website, which has several treats available, if rolling a giant junk-ball sounds fun to you. The highlight is a preview movie of the game, which is insane. The tiny protagonist begins by rolling a sticky ball over items like buttons and lipstick, and by the end of the video he is rolling around a ball of cows, trees, and entire buildings. This is all set to a ridiculous soundtrack, which seems to be a major focus of the site. I can only pray that Namco decides to bring this title across the Pacific. As you can see, based on the box art alone (left), it promises to be one of the great games of our time.
The video can be downloaded by clicking on the green button inside the fourth box down on the right. I guarantee you'll find it entertaining on at least one level.

I find the boxart inexplicably hilarious, as it reminds me of a Gary Larson cartoon. Must be the cows.
