You are smart

This is amazing: Demand for the recently-released (in North America) Katamari Damacy has been so overwhelming that Gamespot actually ran a story on the shortage that is now plaguing retail stores. Yes, the game that I never even expected to see this side of the Pacific has practically sold out in less than a week. Granted, the limited quantity of the game shipped out likely has a lot to do with it, but I'm still impressed and incredibly happy to read the news. Namco is quoted in the article as being pleased with the game's success, which probably means the sequel (already in development) will find its way here as well.

Since I haven't yet put in my two cents about the game myself, I'll just briefly say that it far surpasses any expectations I had. It is brilliantly simple and is stuffed to the seams with oddball humor and charm. A game like this for $20 is a ridiculous bargain. You should probably get it. (Once it's back on shelves.)
