So it turns out Spirited Away is actually really good. I went and saw it last weekend. Still, there's no way it can be better than HALF PAST DEAD!!!!!!!! oh man

But Spirited Away, yes. It's much better than Princess Mononoke, I think. I'm not totally sure why, but I have a theory: the monsters. Or spirits, whichever. All the crazy spirit characters and little mystical touches made it a lot of fun to watch. It thankfully did not have an Psycho Japanese Ending, either.
