Post-Christmas update

I've been half-under the delusion that the last couple of days nearly restored my sleep schedule to something resembling normal, but that's really not the case. I think every day for the last week I've been up till 2 or later.

But anyway. Christmas has come and gone once again. It feels like it goes by faster each year, and it's sad that there doesn't seem to be as much time to fully absorb all the holiday atmosphere around town. Maybe that just means I should start my shopping earlier next year, though. It's a thought.

Christmas Day was calm, as it should be. Finally not having the annual outside engagements meant we could have a relaxing family dinner, then sit around reading books and playing with all the new gadgets. The Nightmare Before Christmas was involved, as well. I guess some had their Miracle on 34th Streets or It's a Wonderful Life; we had Jack Skellington.

The next day I paid Morgan a visit to see her off before she embarked on what's turning into a yearly visit to Canadia, along with Sarah, Jennifer, and possibly another Jennifer. (I never could remember how many Jennifers were involved.) There was also her grandpa's famous lasagna, and Shadow even decided to come out of the woodworks. Good timez.

Interesting true fact: If you're wondering if there's any final bastion of America untouched by fast food, then take heed, for I have found such a place. It is actually Dublin, California. I guarantee all fast food establishments there are either invisible or imaginary.

Sometimes I wonder if it's possible to write a fluid conclusion to these things at 4:30.

I think if you've gotten anything out of this, it ought to be: Stay out of Dublin.
